The Fellowship is open to individuals of Christian faith with priority given to those working in the field of Theology and Literature. Academics, writers, theologians, educators, artists, musicians, broadcasters, journalists and practitioners who wish to explore or develop a creative project that explores the intersection of Christian faith and contemporary culture while participating in the life of the College, are also encouraged to apply.
Fellowships are available for either of two periods:
Winter Short Residence (note this coincides with the Christmas break and College will be much less active) Thursday 4 December 2025 – Wednesday 7 January 2026
Epiphany Term Monday 12 January 2026 – Friday 20 March 2026

This fellowship was established through the bequest of Ruth Etchells (1931-2012), the first female Principal of St John’s College with Cranmer Hall.
